His testimony caused the reversal of a conviction in United States v. Romano. A Federal Administrative Law Judge and former U.S. Marine Corps General called him “loquacious” and “unhelpful,” adding that he was “winging it” and that he was making it up as he went along.

Having secured $3.3 million worth of contracts with the DOJ to testify almost exclusively against physicians, the trail of terror that Dr. Munzing has caused has likely impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands, including pain patients, physicians, and their families. Yet, in this small courtroom in Macomb County, we find Dr. Munzing testifying in this State prosecution matter.

Not having any addiction medicine credentials, he offered his opinion about buprenorphine, claiming, in response to questions, that it provides a euphoric feeling.

Despite criticizing this and every other physician for insufficient documentation, he failed to cite to documents that were used to create his “standard of care” in his report. His recitation of the seven-page standard “every” physician must comply with seems to exist only in his mind.

Despite being paid handsomely for his career as an expert witness, he magically can’t recall how much he had made in total. Other court records verified that he landed $3.3 million in contracts.

Court will resume in July and Munzing will continue his testimony.

Transcripts of the cross will be available when it’s complete. Come back to this page for updates as more develops.

I have personally or attempted to be effected by the moron Munzing. I was on trial 18 months ago and the federal government attempted to use this fraud against me for buprenorphine despite him admitting on the stand he had never prescribed it and had barely got a X-number to do it. This as I was defending my entire life for trying to help addicts become clean. Munzing was dropped as an expert witness in my trial and the government was dealt a 50k blow as a result. This man and Judas has effected the lives of hundreds of people and needs to be completely shutdown as a "expert" witness. Please see US vs Chad Hall DO for more information. This case ended in a complete acquittal of myself and the saving of my career and reputation as a physician.
